Free Knitting Pattern - Betty Butterfly (softie / toy)

A free pattern for a friendly butterfly toy, ideal for using up stash yarn this is a quick and straight forward knit.



Requirements
· 4mm double point needles
· 100g DK yarn for body
· 100g DK yarn for wings
· Scrap for antennae and embroidery
· Stuffing (less than 200g poly-fill)
· Stitch markers

Abbreviations

K– Knit
P – Purl
Sl1 – Slip 1 knitwise
SSK – Slip, slip, knit these two sts together
Sts – Stitches
KFB – Knit front and back
K2tog – Knit two together
W&T – Wrap and turn

Antennae (make 2)

Cast on 3 stitches using brown yarn.
Knit an I-cord 9 rows long
KFB 3 times, you will then have 6 stitches on the needle.
Purl all 6 stitches together to make a little bobble.
Cut the yarn and pull yarn through last stitch.
